What you'll learn

1. Introduce themselves and others by talking about names, countries, cities, residence, work, family, and friends.
2. Participate in basic social conversations using greetings, polite expressions, introductions, and questions such as ما اسمك؟، من أين أنت؟، كيف حالك؟، أين تسكن؟، أين تعمل؟.
3. Communicate in shopping situations by asking about prices and quantities, buying groceries, expressing preferences, and using phrases such as بكم؟، كم كيلو؟، أريد، لا أريد، أحب، لا أحب.
4. Describe homes and living spaces using vocabulary for rooms, apartments, houses, gardens, floors, and adjectives such as كبير، صغير، جميل، مريح، واسع، نظيف.
5. Order food and interact in restaurants by asking for the menu, choosing meals and drinks, expressing opinions about food, and requesting the bill.
6. Ask for and give directions using location words and route expressions such as أمام، خلف، بين، بجانب، على طول، لف يمين، لف يسار، كيف أصل إلى…؟.
7. Talk about daily routines and schedules using time expressions, frequency adverbs, and sequence markers such as دائماً، غالباً، أحياناً، نادراً، أولاً، ثم، بعد ذلك، أخيراً.
8. Describe weather, seasons, and suitable clothing using expressions such as الجو مشمس، ممطر، بارد، حار، معتدل and vocabulary for seasonal clothes.
9. Use key grammar structures accurately, including present-tense verbs, past tense, future with سـ / سوف, negation with لا / ما / لن, imperatives, dual forms, plurals, possession with عند, and adjective agreement.
10. Demonstrate cultural awareness through topics such as greetings and handshaking, bargaining, Yemeni homes, Arab food habits, transportation, Muslim time expressions, weather patterns, clothing traditions, and Arab dress styles.
