About Me
I am a Yemeni academic and Arabic language specialist with a PhD in Modern Arabic Literature and Literary Criticism. I have over 20 years of experience teaching Arabic to non-native speakers, including extensive experience teaching Arabic in Yemen and China. Since 2014, I have been teaching Arabic at universities in China, currently at Beijing International Studies University. My academic and professional interests include Arabic language and literature, teaching Arabic as a foreign language, intercultural communication, and modern literary criticism. I am passionate about helping learners develop effective Arabic language skills while gaining a deeper understanding of Arab culture and literature.
Teaching Philosophy
My teaching philosophy is centered on creating a student-centered, interactive, and culturally responsive learning environment. I believe that learning Arabic should go beyond grammar and vocabulary to include meaningful communication and cultural understanding. With 20 years of experience teaching Arabic to non-native speakers, I focus on developing studentsâ language skills through practical activities, authentic materials, and intercultural communication, while adapting my teaching methods to learnersâ needs, backgrounds, and proficiency levels.
